CONGRESSIONAL PRAYER

On June 8, 1999, Dr. Kurowski delivered the following prayer before the Congress of the United States of America.

Lord God, enlighten us to see that unless You build the house, in vain the artisans toil; and unless You stand sentry upon a nation, in vain do our guardians watch. Open our eyes to see Your awesome fingerprints in creation, Your amazing footprints int he realm of redemption, and Your architectural imprints upon the documents which helped to give birth to this Republic. May these revelations move citizens everywhere to walk humbly, do justice, and sow compassion. Inspire a desire in Americans everywhere to absorb the Biblical book of Ecclesiastes so that as a nation we do not repeat the melancholy moments of history. We ask this in the name of the Wisdom of the ages, the Savior of sinners, Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen.

Endorsements for The Everlasting Angel and The Mountains of Fire

I enjoyed “The Everlasting Angel” very much.

It is especially valuable for people who have mistakenly concluded that the Old Testament is ancient history and no longer theologically relevant.  Those people as well as anyone who has a high regard for the Old Testament will find in “The Everlasting Angel” a veritable treasury of delightful surprises that clearly foreshadow New Testament people and events. The book demonstrates the truth of St. Augustine’s little couplet:  “The New is in the Old concealed, The Old is in the New revealed.”

Anyone who has ever wondered about the “silent years” in the lives of some of the Old Testament patriarchs will find some fascinating possibilities to ponder in this very enjoyable little volume.  Believe me, you will not be disappointed.

Keep up your excellent work.  The Lord’s richest blessings.

Rev. Dr. John Saleska, Concordia Bible Institute, Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, WI

Who says there’s no Gospel in the Old Testament? Again and again, the Everlasting Angel appears to Zakar and his family, revealing the way, proclaiming the truth, and giving life. With the magic of Harry Potter and the suspense of Indiana Jones, this gem will leave the reader exhilarated and eagerly awaiting the next heart-pounding journey with Zakar.

Joy Golden, domestic engineer, Holts Summit, Missouri

“The Everlasting Angel” provides the perfect opportunity to read a book as a family. All ages will enjoy it and gain by it. It particularly lends itself to being read aloud. It is, however, always satisfying read to ones self, therefore just be sure you read it. “

Elena Voncille Jungmeyer, Lifelong Lover of Books

This book is a tapestry of God’s grace and love. It is weaved with the personal involvement of the Everlasting Angel who leads and guides the way of His redeemed people until He brings them to the Promise Land. Within the pages of this book, the reader is drawn into the story with such vigor and vitality; that it hard to lose focus of the story. The reader is given a window of the Everlasting Angel’s intimate connection with His people. The characters are vivid and alive. The main character that lives beyond human imaginations-Zachar, (Hebrew for ‘remember’) is a true instrument by which the story is told in a manner that will engage the reader with the God who doesn’t forget His promises.

This book should be in every home, church, and library!

Pastor Nabil Nour, Armour South Dakota, born in Israel

“The Everlasting Angel and the Mountains of Fire” provides a new yet ancient way of reading the Old Testament. It asserts the universal love of an all-powerful God who goes to extraordinary lengths to bring comfort, hope, and help to humanity. The book will touch the heart, challenge the mind, and stir the soul. It challenges worn-out caricatures of the Old Testament. It introduces you to an Angel you really must know. You will be the far better for having read it.

Doctor A. Adolphe Edward, DHA, American citizen born in Egypt.

“The Everlasting Angel and the Mountains of Fire” is a thoroughly engrossing example of a sophisticated, artistic, and faith-strengthening blend of the Biblical narrative, fiction, creativity, and wit.”

Dr. Howard Kramer, S.T.M. Ph.D, President Emeritus, Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines, Ontario, Columbia Missouri,

“The Everlasting Angel and the Mountains of Fire” is a book that makes the Old Testament easy to read and allows you to make connections you’ve never made before.”

The Everlasting Angel and the Real Magic - $17.00

The Everlasting Angel and the Real Magic

Authored by Peter M. Kurowski and Elizabeth R. Scheperle, this is the second in a series of historical novels demonstrating that throughout the Old Testament, the Angel of the Lord is often none other than Jesus Himself prior to His incarnation and birth as a human being. While the first historical novel, “The Everlasting Angel and the Mountains of Fire” focused on the Angel of the Lord leading Abraham and Sarah to the promised land, this second historical novel narrates the Angel of the Lord leading His people out of Egypt through Moses.

The Real Magic will electrify one’s reading of the Exodus story of the Bible. It is power-packed with real-life struggles and huge heavenly hope. It is a “for God so loved the world” story that will continued to be treasured for generations to come!

A helpful glossary defines Old Testament names and words as well as clarifies which characters in this historical novel are found in the Bible and which are fictional. Nathan Thibon, age 15, from California, Missouri, who had read the first historical novel says about both of them, “I thought the first book in The Everlasting Angel series was awesome. The Real Magic, volume two of the series, is better yet!”
